Project description
The project “Coordinating and supporting the modernization of the public health services in Dolj-Vratsa” is implemented by Dolj County Council, in partnership with Kozloduy Municipality, Clinical Emergency County Hospital Craiova and Vratsa District Administration within Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme.
The project implementation period is 27 months.
By implementing this project we wish that both Dolj County and Vratsa District’s patients to have fast access to modern and high quality heart surgery services, based on a good infrastructure and high performance equipment, for a more efficient examination and treatment. Dolj County Council developed an investment for the establishment of the Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic within the Clinical Emergency County Hospital Craiova, which will have the capacity to ensure a quality treatment at regional level (for approximately 3,5 million population), all the equipment and human resources being ensured at most modern EU and international standards.
The main objective of the project consists in improving the cooperation capacity and efficiency of the public health players in a cross-border cooperation context, in Dolj-Vratsa region.
- a better cooperation capacity among public hospitals, deconcentrated bodies, local public authorities by creating cooperation mechanisms, such as tools for information and expertise exchange;
- a better efficiency of the public health services providers by modernizing the public health services, in context of complementarity and harmonization.
