The fourth study visit, organized within A8. “Setting up professionals’ networks by exchanging skills and expertise in cardiology, obstetrics & gynecology, neurology, general surgery and intensive care”, took place between 20.03.2019 and 22.03.2019, at the premises of B3 – Clinical Emergency County Hospital Craiova, with General Surgery specialists from Kozloduy and Craiova Hospitals.
The first day of the visit started with the presentation of the Surgery Clinic I, made by Doctor Valeriu Şurlin. The cases of each of the in-patients were presented. The doctors discussed about investigations took for each patient, treatment, evolution of the patient.
On the second day of the visit, the doctor and the medical assistant from Kozloduy participated to the activity in the Operating Room and assisted to a laparoscopic paraesophageal hiatal hernia.
On the third day, the specialists from Kozloduy attended the reporting of the doctors on duty, where the new medical cases were presented to the rest of the doctors (a thigh hematoma and a reflux angiocolitis). They discussed about the patients with antibiotics treatment and also about the operations that were scheduled to be performed during the current day (an exploratory laparoscopy to a patient with new discovered problems to the common bile duct, who initially was admitted with gynaecological problems and also a breast neoplasm to a 68 years patient).
