The fifth study visit, organized within A8. “Setting up professionals’ networks by exchanging skills and expertise in cardiology, obstetrics & gynecology, neurology, general surgery and intensive care”, took place between 01.04.2019 and 03.04.2019, at the premises of B3 – Clinical Emergency County Hospital Craiova, with Cardiology specialists from Kozloduy and Craiova Hospitals.
The first day of the visit started with the presentation of the Cardiology Department, made by Doctor Istrătoaie Octavian. They also visited the Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic. The doctors discussed about the number of patients, number of beds, number of doctors/medical assistants/nurses, medical equipment, investigations took at each hospital.
On the second day of the visit, the doctor and the medical assistant from Kozloduy participated to the activity in the Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic and assisted to the battery change to a cardiac stimulator to a 72 years patient. Discussions about the medical equipment used, the procedure, the recovery time for the patient etc. were held among specialists.
On the third day, the specialists from Kozloduy attended the medical visit within the department. The cases of the in-patients were presented. The doctors discussed about investigations took for each patient, treatment, evolution of the patient. They also assisted to a transoesophageal echography.
